Luck of the Irish

Luck of the Irish

About five years ago, a man who was homeless came to us and asked if we would help him with the love of his life. The love of his life turned out to be Evee. Evee is an older cattle dog who he was afraid to keep out on the streets with him until he got back on his feet.

Evee would stay close to her dad when he came to visit. She loved to chase after a ball. She would lay next to him and not leave his side. About three years ago, her dad was able to find a place to live and took Evee back. His health at that time was poor, but he wanted his girl back. We micro chipped Evee just to be safe.

March 17, 2014: We got a call from the humane society, a couple had lost their home and couldn’t keep the dog that they found out on the streets a year ago. Because of the micro chip, we got a call.

When we went there, the dog turned out to be Evee. There is no way that we can contact John. We believe that he must have died and his family (who would not help him when he was homeless) must have discarded Evee onto the street.

Evee is a wonderful girl. She loves to be close to you. She will spend hours by your side. She deserves to be loved again by her own family.
